Bush Industries will unveil additions to its line of video gaming furniture, attractive occasional tables to match its most popular entertainment furnishings , as well as online configurators for office and entertainment space planning, at its new regional showroom in High Point.
New multi-functional video bases that are especially appropriate for gaming will be showcased. The Piedmont Collection's Video Base in Cherry Hill Plank finish (PCH10309) has two pullout storage compartments for DVDs, games or gaming peripherals. The Video Base in Natural Maple finish (PCH10215) also features similar pullout storage compartments. Each unit has an open center compartment with two adjustable shelves for components or gaming hardware, and each will hold 36" conventional TVs or 42" flat panel TVs.
"We are continuing to showcase our product leadership in gaming furniture," said Jim Schmidt, VP of Marketing and Merchandising. "Our ongoing consumer research first identified, and then verified, the opportunity. That data feeds new product development."
Due to the wide popularity of Bush's Segments Collection of entertainment furniture, the company is adding occasional tables to complement the collection. The Segments End Table and Cocktail Table will feature attractive wood segments separated by metal rings and have tempered glass top and bottom shelves. Bush will also feature tables to expand its Universal Collection as well as tables within new collections being shown for the first time at High Point .
"Home theater is a fast-growing segment of the consumer electronics industry," said Schmidt. "We are expanding the offerings in our most popular entertainment product lines to enhance the home theater experience for consumers. As they adopt the latest technologies at home, they can rest easy knowing that our furniture will also complement all aspects of their living space."
Because furniture in general, especially office furniture, presents challenges in how to make the space as productive as possible, Bush offers two technology tools for space planning. The Master PlanT Office Simulator is an interactive online planning tool that lets retailers or consumers plan an office space with typical configurations of Bush's Series A and Series C furniture or design a space from scratch. It provides a printout of a 2-D and 3-D space plan, a shopping list with pricing, all the way to a shopping cart. The Office Simulator can be provided as a link on retailer or .com websites. The upgraded version of the Office Simulator allows the user to create an exact representation of their space, complete with alcoves, pillars, bay windows, etc., and more easily manipulate the individual SKUs within the plan to create the perfect setting. It also allows the user to email the completed space plan to co-workers, purchasing agents, or to themselves.
The Entertainment Furniture Simulator is a similar online tool that allows consumers to choose the type and model of TV they have, choose furniture that the TV will fit on, and then decide on placement of the furniture within a space plan.
Bush will entertain visitors at its new permanent showroom at #108 in the 220 Elm Building, phone 336-889-8083 .
